UCR Believes In Sherlock

Thank you to all those who came to the meetup today, I really appreciate your support and company. Today we discussed the possibility of starting a club dedicated to British Television/Culture, an Anglophile Club which would be officially sponsored through the university. Since we are all obviously interested in British events, this seems like it would be a smashing idea, so I ask that anyone who is interested please write in and show your interest! If we have enough interest we can really make this happen.

In other news, we decided to hold the next Sherlock meetup next week at the same time and place as this one! Hope to see you there.

UCR Sherlock Meetup

Hello all, hope you all had a wonderful spring break. The UCR Sherlockians are convening again at Getaway Cafe next week! Please let me know if you are planning on attending this time so I can get a head count. The past events have been great so I hope everyone will be available.

Also I would like to note that during this time Getaway Cafe is holding a fundraiser where part of the proceeds of any food we buy will go to benefit the international children’s charity UNICEF. So if you plan on buying food come see me first to pick up a flyer to turn in when you make your purchase. Let’s make our detective proud by giving back to the community!

Second UCR Sherlock Meetup

When: Wednesday, March 7, 7:00pm

Where: Getaway Cafe

Since people have been eager to have another one of these before the end of the quarter, I would like to throw out the possibility of a second Sherlock meetup next week at the same time and place as the last one. Although the notice is a bit late, there does seem. to be enough interest. If people are interested in comic please RSVP so we can get a better headcount this time.
